Learn track cycling this summer!
Fixed Action clinics start June 19
The MN Cycling Center’s Fixed Action velodrome cycling clinics return for 4 weeks, starting June 19. On July 31, we’ll hold an evening of races! These individual sessions are condensed versions of our time-tested program which teaches the fundamentals of fixed gear bike racing. Our experienced coaches guide students through the basics of riding a fixed gear bike, track cycling tactics and more. Sessions will be held on a closed and safely moderated asphalt venue.
Classes are limited to 10 students, so apply soon.

The Premier Cycling and Education Complex in the Midwest
The MN Cycling Center is a racing and education destination for cyclists and fans of all ages. The facility will provide community cycling programs, after-school STEM education curriculum and a home for world-class racing.
MN Cycling Center Statement of Solidarity and Action
As we focus on building an inclusive cycling facility and assisting future bicycle racers who cannot afford bicycle racing equipment, we carry heavy hearts but are committed to building an inclusive community that is free from racial injustice.
The Next Generation of MN Sports Leadership
Velodrome bicycle racing has put Minnesota on the world map for 30 years. The state-owned NSC Velodrome is the most unique facility at the NSC and one of only 26 in the U.S. The outdoor wood track has hosted the 1992 Olympic Cycling Trials, several U.S. National Championships, international Grand Prix meets, a weekly race series, development classes and training sessions.
After 25 years of exposure to the elements, the cycling community rallied to raise $100,000 to complete necessary repairs and the Velodrome attracted 1,000 riders and more than 4,000 spectators from around the world during that season of rebirth. The NSC Foundation board has different plans for the Velodrome site, however. After the 2019 racing season, the Velodrome was permanently closed. The MN Cycling Center will be the next phase in the development of cycling in Minnesota. This popular sport will grow even more as we roll out our programs for high school athletes.
